GUWAHATI, Sept 27: Smartphone brand OPPO has launched the Reno14 5G Diwali Edition, bringing an exclusive festive-themed device to Indian customers.
The special edition introduces India’s first heat-sensitive colour-changing technology, alongside a cultural design inspired by mandalas, peacocks and Diwali motifs.

Speaking on the launch, Goldee Patnaik, Head – PR and Communications, OPPO India, said the Diwali Edition was crafted to reflect the spirit of the festival.
“This special edition draws inspiration from India’s rich cultural heritage — from the sacred mandala to the vibrant peacock — and pairs it with the magic of the industry’s first heat-sensitive colour-changing design, creating a device as celebratory as the season itself,” he said.
The phone’s design blends Indian cultural motifs with festive symbolism.
The mandala, peacock and flame-like accents embody harmony, prosperity and the light of diyas, all rendered in a black-and-gold palette.
Black symbolises the darkness of Amavasya, while gold represents the radiance of Diwali lamps.
The new GlowShift Technology enables the back panel to shift from black to gold with body heat.
Built with a nine-layer lamination technique, the colour transformation is triggered between 28°C and 35°C, tested to last over 10,000 cycles.
The Reno14 5G Diwali Edition features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, aerospace-grade aluminium frame, Corning Gorilla® Glass 7i, and IP66/68/69 protection.
The device is 7.42mm thin, weighs 187g, and comes with All-Round Armour architecture for enhanced durability.
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, the phone offers up to 20% higher performance and 30% better efficiency.
It houses a 6000mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, ensuring two days of usage.
For imaging, the device boasts a 50MP main sensor, 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP selfie camera.
OPPO’s Hypertone Imaging Engine supports 4K HDR video recording at 60fps across all lenses, while AI-powered tools such as AI Recompose, AI Best Face and AI Eraser enhance image quality.
To mark the festive launch, OPPO has announced several offers including no-cost EMI options up to 6 months, instant cashback up to ₹3,000 on select bank cards, zero down payment schemes for up to 8 months, an exchange bonus of up to ₹3,000, three months of Google One 2TB Cloud plus Gemini Advanced, and six months of premium OTT access with Jio ₹1199 plan.
