GUWAHATI, March 29: PhonePe users visiting the UAE now have the convenience of making payments using Unified Payments Interface (UPI) at Mashreq’s NEOPAY terminals, present in various retail stores, dining outlets, and tourist attractions.
By scanning the QR code, users can seamlessly conduct transactions, with the account debited in INR, reflecting the currency exchange rate.
Moreover, non-resident Indians (NRIs) with UAE mobile numbers can download the PhonePe app and link their NRE and NRO accounts for hassle-free payments, enhancing transaction ease for the Indian diaspora in the UAE.
