GUWAHATI, July 8: Tata Play, a prominent content distribution and Pay TV platform in India, has announced the launch of a new platform service called Tata Play Asomiya Monoronjan. Developed in collaboration with ReelDrama, this service aims to provide a diverse range of engaging and culturally significant Assamese content to viewers. Notably, this partnership represents the first-ever collaboration between an OTT platform and a TV network, bridging the gap between digital and linear TV viewing.
Tata Play Asomiya Monoronjan serves as a dedicated platform for Assamese entertainment on television, offering a wide selection of the latest Assamese movies, original shows, mobile theaters, music, masterclasses on acting and music, as well as devotional content. The lineup features renowned and award-winning Assamese actors such as Jotin Bora, Ravi Sharma, Urmila Mahanta, Barsha Rani Bishaya, Kenny Basumatary, among others. Viewers can expect a diverse range of genres and titles, including Ratnakar, Calendar, Local Kung Fu, Local Utpaat, BornodiBhotiai, Goru, Fisaa, AndolitoAkax, Kolorob, Neul, Mitryonjoy, Ou, and more. The service will present ReelDrama’s extensive content library to linear TV audiences, showcasing both movies and new original shows.
