13 including 5 children killed in a major accident in Pakistan’s Punjab

Punjab, May 18: A tragic accident in Pakistan’s Punjab province claimed the lives of at least 13 people, including five children, and injured four others.

The incident occurred when a family was traveling in a mini truck from Bannu to Soon Valley in the Khushab district.

The truck fell into a ravine, reportedly due to the driver taking a sharp turn. Rescue teams were promptly dispatched to the scene, transferring the deceased and injured to a nearby hospital.

In a separate incident, a truck carrying pilgrims from Karachi to the Shah Noorani shrine in Balochistan also fell into a ravine, resulting in at least 18 deaths and around 50 injuries. The victims were rushed to the Karachi Trauma Centre for medicolegal procedures and medical assistance.
