Bangladesh government call in 3 US physicians to treat ailing Khaleda Zia in Dhaka

Dhaka, Oct 24: The Bangladesh Government has approved the arrival of three US-based doctors to provide medical care to former Prime Minister and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson, Khaleda Zia.

The green light was given by the Home and Foreign Ministries, as confirmed by a BNP leader. The physicians, namely Christos Georgiades, James Peter Adam Hamilton, and Hamid Ahmed Abdur Rabb, are expected in Dhaka shortly.

One of them has already arrived, with the remaining two due to arrive soon. BNP Chairperson’s press wing member, Shamsuddin Didar, reported that Khaleda Zia, currently receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka, has been moved back to her cabin from the Coronary Care Unit.
