The tickets, originally priced at Rs 2,500 were being sold at Rs 11,000 each. A total of 20 tickets for the upcoming match scheduled on November 5 were confiscated from Agarwal. This arrest follows an earlier incident where an individual was nabbed for vending fraudulent tickets for the England vs. India World Cup cricket match at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

The upcoming match between India and South Africa will be held at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Historically, out of the 5 matches played between the two teams in ICC ODI World Cup tournaments, India has won 2 matches while South Africa has 3 victories.

As of now, India is leading the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 points table after securing victories in all six matches in the tournament. South Africa is trailing in the second position with 10 points from six matches.

South Africa’s run rate stands at +2.032, which is significantly higher than India’s (+1.405). In a related update, Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to attend the match in Kolkata. The match also coincides with the 35th birthday of Indian cricketer Virat Kohli.
