Imphal, Oct 24: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, on Tuesday, commented that the violence in Manipur was orchestrated, attributing it to ‘outside forces’. He questioned the involvement of external entities in the unrest.
Bhagwat was addressing the RSS Dussehra rally in Nagpur, where he criticised cultural Marxists and woke elements for using their influence in media and academia to disrupt the nation’s education and culture.
He announced that the idol of Lord Ram would be installed at the Ayodhya temple on January 22, urging people to organise celebrations across the country. The RSS chief also referred to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent visit to Manipur, questioning who was fuelling the conflict. He further questioned the potential involvement of foreign powers and the role of south-east Asian geopolitics in the unrest.
Bhagwat praised the efforts of Sangh workers in restoring peace in Manipur. He warned against inflaming emotions for vote acquisition ahead of the 2024 general elections, urging people to vote with the nation’s unity, integrity, identity, and development in mind.
He also mentioned ‘toolkits’ inciting violence and creating mistrust and hatred, emphasising the need for unity and peaceful work without distraction by sporadic events.
