Addressing a press conference at its office in Imphal’s Babupara, Balasahebanchi Shiv Sena, Manipur unit president, N Tombi said that the party had recently submitted a memorandum to Union home minister Amit Shah.

In the memorandum, the party put forward four-point demands which included among others amendment of the Manipur Land Revenue & Land Reform Act, 1960 (MLR & LR Act, 1960) and to extend the Act in the hill areas.

Other points included inclusion of Meitei/Meetei in the Scheduled Tribe list of Indian Constitution, upgradation of Tongjei Maril (Old Cachar Road) into four-lane road and proper erection of boundary fencing along the Indo-Myanmar border, the party president also said.
