GUWAHATI, Dec 11: Indian Army recruitment rally for Manipur has been conducted successfully by Army Recruiting Office, Rangapahar, Nagaland, under the aegis of Zonal Recruiting Office (North East States).
The Agniveer recruitment rallies were held at Kangpokpi, Imphal East and Churachandpur districts of Manipur, from November 28 to December 8, with immense support of the Red Shield Division, Assam Rifles and Manipur State Administration.
This year as an exception to existing norms of holding one rally per state, to offset fallout of current strife in Manipur, rallies were conducted at multiple locations to facilitate maximum participation. Despite of the current internal security situation in the state, an impressive 81.70% turnout has been recorded, highlighting the immense enthusiasm amongst youth in joining the Indian Army.
As part of recent changes in the recruitment procedure, the rallies were organised for candidates who made it in merit pass clearing the Common Entrance Exam (CEE) conducted in an online format pan India. At the rally site, physical test, medical tests and documentation of the potential Agniveer candidates were conducted.
The final merit list of selected candidates will be hosted on Join Indian Army website and also personally intimated to candidates on their registered e-mail IDs and mobile numbers.
