Manipur CM inaugurates development projects in Chandel

GUWAHATI, Jan 16: Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh inaugurated several development projects worth Rs 126.54 crore in Chandel district.

He also laid the foundation stones for projects worth Rs 86.45 crores in Chandel during a function held on Monday. The projects include establishment of educational institutions as well as those relating to infrastructural development in the district.

“I am delighted to announce the inauguration of projects worth Rs 126.54 crore and the foundation stones laying for Rs 86.45 crore worth of projects that will contribute to the upliftment of the state,” CM N Biren Singh said in a post on ‘X’.

“The projects, ranging from educational institutions to infrastructure development, reflect our commitment to creating a thriving and sustainable future for Chandel. As we embark on the implementation of these projects, I encourage the active participation and support of the people of Chandel,” he further said on ‘X’.

The chief minister also said that the Union government has selected Chandel as an inspirational district to it’s facilitate development to bring it at par with other districts in the country. The district has already featured among the top ranking districts in several surveys conducted in the country.

He also said that his government has been putting in all efforts to ensure that development projects are implemented well in the district and its people are able to reap the benefits of various government welfare schemes.
