SHILLONG, Feb 11: The grand old party, Indian National Congress (INC), has decided to contest the upcoming Meghalaya assembly election  with more than 30 young fresh faces, who have “unblemished” track records and clear vision for their respective constituencies, according to Manish Chatrath, AICC In-charge of Meghalaya.

He said that the party has shown faith in the youths of Meghalaya who will help the party to recapture the glory of the state as the corrupt old faces backstabbed the party for the greed of money and power.

“The new faces of the INC are fresh and most of them are going to contest the upcoming Meghalaya assembly election for the first time,” he further said

The new faces are non-corrupt, many of them highly educated having good professional backgrounds, 26 to 46-year-old young people who all are fighting to make Meghalaya 5 Star, more ambitious to work for the state, he added.
