Talking to reporters on the sideline of the occasion, former chief minister O Ibobi Singh maintained that terrorism is against the society and it has no positive impact in any area.

He also said that everyone should join hands to eliminate terrorism and it was the vision of the late Prime Minister who ended his life in the hands of terrorists.

The former chief minister remembered the contribution of the former Prime Minister towards strengthening democracy in the country.

“Brutal assassination of such a great leader is a great loss not only for the Congress party but for the nation”, Ibobi also said. Rajiv Gandhi was a leader who had a great dream of maintaining India’s good relationships with its neighboring countries, Ibobi added.
