Myanmar hands over 4 Indians at Moreh

IMPHAL, Nov 11 (NNN): The Myanmar authorities on Wednesday handed over four Indians, who have completed their prison terms in Myanmar, to India at the border town of Moreh in Manipur’s Tengnoupal district, official sources said.

The four are Thangtinlien (23), Paotinlien (28) and Ngangkhomang (33) from Chandel district and Limneilan Mate (41) of Sugunu town of Kakching district.

Myanmar officials handed them to their Indian counterparts, in the presence of officials of immigration office, customs and police officials, at the India-Myanmar ‘Friendship Bridge’ at a simple function.

They were later taken and verified at the integrated check post in Moreh before handing over to their respective families, the sources added.
