DIMAPUR, July 20 (NNN): The Naga Hoho has expressed deep condemnation over the recent “brutal and cold-blooded murder” of M Lucy Maring in Imphal and has reiterated its unwavering dedication to peace, justice, and the welfare of all communities in Manipur.
In an official statement, the Naga Hoho declared its readiness to provide support and contribute to any initiatives aimed at fostering understanding, reconciliation, and long-lasting peace in the region.
The Naga Hoho described the murder of Lucy as a heinous act, not only violating fundamental human rights but also undermining the cherished principles of peace and harmony that they strive to uphold.
As the representative voice of the Naga people, the Naga Hoho called upon the government of Manipur to fulfill the agreement signed with the Coordination Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI), facilitated by the United Naga Council. Emphasising the significance of honouring the commitments made in the agreement, the Naga Hoho stressed that it is essential for ensuring peaceful coexistence among the diverse ethnic groups in the region.
