Nagaland: Wokha police seizes illegal IMFL

DIMAPUR, Oct 13: To tighten the inflow of assorted IMFL inside the district, Nagaland police along with “F” Coy 11 IR led by additional superintendent of police and PRO of Wokha district, K Soriso, and SDPO Vikato Thonger conducted a special MVCP at midnight of Tuesday at NST colony, Wokha town and seized a huge quantity of liquor.
During the special drive, one Mahindra Bolero Pick-up bearing registration number AS03CC2099 was intercepted at around 2:50 am in the wee hours on Wednesday and recovered from their possession 2160 bottles of Kingfisher beer and 840 bottles of MC Rum.
In this connection, the PRO, Wokha (additional SP) said that two persons have been arrested and a case has been registered at Wokha police station under the relevant section of Nagaland Liquor Prohibition (NLTP) Act 1989.
Further, the PRO also stated that intensive routine checking will be continued frequently. (NNN)
