NFR inaugurates 70th Management Development Programme in Gangtok

GUWAHATI, April 10: The 70th Management Development Programme for Senior Supervisors of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) was inaugurated on April 8, at the picturesque Nathula Pass Railway Guest House in Gangtok, Sikkim, an official statement said on Thursday.

The programme was formally inaugurated by Rajiv Mahajan, Senior Deputy General Manager (SDGM) & Chief Vigilance Officer, NFR.

This initiative is part of NFR’s continuous endeavour to enhance the leadership capabilities, managerial efficiency and operational effectiveness of its frontline supervisory staff, the statement added.

In his inaugural address, Mahajan underlined the pivotal role of supervisors in maintaining safety, discipline and productivity across the railway network.

He stressed the importance of aligning personal aspirations with organisational goals and fostering a culture of positive and proactive leadership.

Throughout the course of the programme, the participants were engaged in a series of enlightening lectures and interactive sessions delivered by senior officers of NFR.

These sessions focused on developing a positive attitude and enhancing work productivity with effective time management for railway professionals.

Hence, it helps the professionals towards achieving team goals, interpersonal communication, motivational techniques, understanding and strengthening the vigilance system within Indian Railways.

Organised by NFR, the programme offered participants a refreshing and focused learning experience in the serene surroundings of Gangtok.

The tranquil setting contributed to a relaxed atmosphere conducive to personal reflection and professional growth.
