AGARTALA, April 28: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha announced today that no Pakistani nationals have been found residing in the state so far.
In a media briefing, Saha shared that Union Home Minister Amit Shah had personally contacted him, urging immediate action to identify foreign nationals in the region.
In response to the directive, Saha initiated discussions with the state’s District Superintendents of Police (SPs) and District Magistrates (DMs).
He instructed them to closely monitor and take prompt action against any Pakistani nationals found in Tripura.
“I have given clear instructions that no Pakistani nationals should be allowed to stay here, and necessary measures must be taken to ensure their return to their home country,” the Chief Minister emphasized.
Saha, who also serves as the state’s Home Minister, reported that over 200 Bangladeshi nationals and individuals from other foreign nations have been identified. However, he clarified that no Pakistani nationals have been detected so far.
“We are conducting thorough investigations, and I have submitted a detailed report to Delhi confirming that no Pakistani nationals have been found in Tripura to date,” he concluded.
