Prof Krishna Ram Bora memorial national lecture held

NAGAON, April 30: Krishna Ratna Foundation organised professor Krishna Ram Bora memorial national lecture on ‘Srimanta Sankardev Sangeet Kalpana: Baibhav aru Bristitee’ at Nagaon district library auditorium on Sunday.

Noted educationist, professor and scholar of ‘Bhakti’ traditions Dr Pradip Jyoti Mahanta participated the programme as the keynote speaker. Noted artiste, music composer, director and singer – Tarali Sarma inaugurated the programme with performing a ‘Borgeet’ at the very outset. Noted Sanskrit scholar, litterateur and professor Guna Saikia welcomed the guests and other attendees at very beginning of the inaugural session of the gorgeous programme. Dr Mallika Kandali, eminent exponent as well as a scholar of Satriya dance also participated as special invitee in the programme and also performed Satriya dance form during the programme. It is pertinent to be mention here that the programme was initiated as well as patronized by Amitabh Bora, social activist and the elder son and the family of professor Krishna Ram Bora.
