GANGTOK, March 20: The Sikkim Forest and Environment Department barred employees from creating reels or posting personal content on social media during working hours, according to an order issued on Friday.

The move is aimed at maintaining professionalism and ensuring official time is devoted strictly to work-related responsibilities, the order said.

The department, however, clarified that digital content related to forestry, environment and wildlife awareness will be permitted if it is created strictly for official purposes. Earlier, the Sikkim Police had issued a similar directive, restricting personnel from making reels while in uniform. (PTI)
