Assam’s Udita Rani Bora, Jaya Rani Deka, and Dishna JR Chanda Dishna depart for Singapore to represent India in the 10th Asian Yogasana Sports C’ship

NAGAON, Jan 2: Udita Rani Bora, Jaya Rani Deka, and Dishna JR Chanda from Assam left on Thursday to participate in the 10th Asian Yogasana Sports Championship, an international sports event scheduled to be held in Singapore from January 5 to 8. The trio, along with other participants, will represent the Indian team from the state.

Udita Rani Bora from Nagaon, along with Jaya Rani Deka and Dishna JR Chanda, recently participated in a special training-cum-coaching camp organized at Panchkula in Haryana. Following the completion of the camp, the three athletes departed for Singapore to participate in the international sports event today.

A training camp was held on December 30 at Nehru Stadium, Guwahati, to prepare the Assam team for the upcoming 68th National School Games. The games, scheduled to take place in Kolhapur from January 15 to 18, will feature girls under the 17 category.

The under-17 team includes Souvik Dey, Mayank Gupta, Argodeep Nath, Oindry Bhattacharjee, Rimpa Dutta, Harjeet Singh, Nikita Swargiary, Tina Kalita, Chayanika Chakraborty, Sandeep Sharma, and Kuhi Deka. Yoga Guru and selection camp coordinator Prabhat Chandra Bora led the coaching camp.
