IPL to excite fans in Guwahati again, Rajasthan Royals confirm

Guwahati, March 21: As the Indian Premier League (IPL) season unfolds, cricket fans in Guwahati have a reason to celebrate. For the second consecutive season, two IPL matches will be played in Guwahati.

The Rajasthan-based franchise will play as the home team in these matches. The decision follows the successful hosting of two IPL matches at Guwahati’s Barsapara Stadium, featuring the Rajasthan Royals against Punjab Kings, and Delhi Capitals.

The news was confirmed by Ranjit Barthakur, Executive Chairman of Royal Multisport, the firm that owns the Rajasthan Royals.

The matches in Guwahati will be held in the third and fourth week of May, with Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals as the opponents. More details are awaited.
