This was verified by Rajasthan franchise officials to Pratidin Time. Buttler’s withdrawal from the tournament was announced on Monday, ahead of the 2024 ICC Cricket T20 World Cup.

Fans in Guwahati, who were anticipating seeing the Englishman play in two home team matches later this month, will now have to settle for watching other players.

Buttler will be leading England in the upcoming tournament, which starts on June 2 in the United States, and has chosen to return home to prepare.

The Rajasthan Royals are scheduled to play the Punjab Kings on May 15 and the Kolkata Knight Riders on May 19, with both matches being held at the ACA Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati.
