Tiphuk Football CC Win Sivasagar Youth Club Football Tourney

SIVASAGAR, Sept 7: Tiphuk (Amguri) Football Coaching Centre won the Sivasagar Youth Club Football Tournament defeating Bamrajabari Football Coaching Centre by a margin of 4-2. In a keenly contested match, Ray Tanti of Tiphuk scored the first goal for his team in the 18th minute. But, Bishnu Deori of Bamrajabari scored the equalizer in the 53rd minute.

The teams were locked in 1-1 at the end of the stipulated time. In the penalty shootout, the Tiphuk boys scored thrice while the Bamrajabari team could score once. Bishnu Deori of Bamrajabari was adjudged player of the tournament under 17.

 

Rehan Ahmed of Sivasagar Childrens’ Coaching Centre was adjudged the highest scorer of the tournament.

The trophies were given away by Siddheswar Chutia, Manoj Bhagawati, Manoj Kr Borthakur, and Pratim Baruah.
