Renowned social worker, prominent businessman, one of the founder members of RSS at Guwahati, philanthropist & founder of greater Fancy Bazar Sahitya Sabha & Assam Vijayadashmi Mahotsav Samiti and head of Goenka Family of Guwahati, Ram Niranjan Goenka passed away peacefully at his Guwahati residence on Thursday.

Ram Niranjan Goenka was 89 years old.

He is survived by his son, 5 daughter and host of relatives, his funeral took place on Thursday at Bhootnath cremation ground, Guwahati at 4 pm.
