MORIGAON, May 6: Tiwa organisations have expressed displeasure over the state government’s attitude towards rendering proper govt facilities for the surrendered outfit group Tiwa Liberation Army. The Tiwa outfit surrendered before the chief minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma at Kalakshetra in Guwahati in January, 2022. The organisations led by Chaniram Malang have alleged that the surrendered outfit organisation has not been receiving necessary facilities like other surrendered outfit organisations. The Tiwa organisations also alleged that there are no designated camp facilities like other surrendered outfit organisations have. The members of the surrendered Tiwa Liberation Army have been deprived of good accommodation facilities, they alleged. The Tiwa organisations, now, have demanded the state government to provide the facilities soon and urged the government to take care of the members of the surrendered organisation until they receive permanent settlement.Â
