The All Party Hills Leaders Conference (APHLC) condemned the BJP for giving tickets to the non-tribals in a few constituencies.

Bikram Hanse of the APHLC leader who is contesting against influential BJP leader Tuliram Ronghang from Bithung Rengthama MAC constituency strongly condemned the saffron party for giving tickets to the non tribals.

“Our party is focused on protecting the tribal identity and if the national parties will be in power the existence of the tribals is in danger,” said Bikram Hanse.

He also expressed confidence in winning the constituency.

Notably, BJP has fielded non-tribals in Howraghat, Bokajan, Kopili and Deopani MAC constituencies.

While the ruling BJP is mostly stuck on the development mantra, financial assistance during the pandemic, free distribution of rice to BPL families, etc. on the campaign trail, the APHLC is harping on non-tribal overwhelming the tribals and Congress is attacking the BJP on its alleged wrong policies and corruption.
