Governor Gulab Chand Kataria to inaugurate electrical expo by GEMA

Grand showcase of electrical innovations at Aashi Apsara from Feb 3

GUWAHATI, Feb 1: Governor Gulab Chand Kataria will inaugurate the three-day eLECTROFEST Expo organised by the Guwahati Electric Merchants Association (GEMA) on February 3. This expo, scheduled to be held from February 3 to 5 at Aashi Apsara, Ulubari in Guwahati, will be the biggest electrical expo in the history of the North-East. A delegation from GEMA, led by president Naval Kishore Sarda, included vice president and expo chairman Gopal Pasari, secretary Saketraj Pugalia, expo convenor Abhishek Kejriwal, Saurabh Bothra, treasurer Naveen Sethia, and executive member Manish Singhi met Governor Gulab Chand Kataria and briefed him about the organisation’s activities at Raj Bhavan.

Appreciating the work done by GEMA, the Governor accepted the invitation to inaugurate the eLECTROFEST Expo as the chief guest on February 3. State Housing and Urban Affairs minister Ashok Singhal, Industry and Commerce minister Bimal Bora, Power minister Nandita Gorlosa, and other VVIPs are expected to register their presence at this expo. Preparations for the expo are in the final stages under the direction of the organisation’s president Naval Kishore Sarda and secretary Saketraj Pugalia. Project chairman and vice president of the organisation Gopal Pasari mentioned that more than 70 major electrical companies from the country will participate in this expo and showcase their products. Expo convenor Abhishek Kejriwal highlighted that the expo, being held for the first time, is bringing together all the electrical companies showcasing the latest innovations in electricals and is a must-see for builders, architects, contractors, traders, interior designers, and consumers from across the North-East.

Secretary Saket Raj Puglia added that stalwarts of the electrical, lighting, and power industry, from manufacturers, OEMs, suppliers, and distributors to agents, will participate in this expo and provide ample business opportunities. Expo convenor and GEMA treasurer Naveen Sethia mentioned that the expo is a platform where a common buyer can come and see the entire range of products related to electricals. The event is supported by ANCHOR by Panasonic and co-supported by KEI and Kolors, and affiliated by RR Kabel, Presto Plast, Berlia, and Izzok. He further stated that convenors Anil Dugar and Abhisekh Kagliwal, and team members Mehul Pasari, Deepak Agarwal, Anshuman Dhanuka, along with all the members of the organisation, are working hard to make this event a grand success.
