Assam: 9 High Breed Cattle Heads Seized By Sapkata Police

Gossaigaon, May 30: Despite imposing a strict ban on cattle smuggling by the state Government smuggler is seen using different tactics in a bid to earn hefty amount through cattle smuggling and in such cases police personnel has also seen intensifying their duties around the clock to foil their attempt in smuggling cattle in any manner.

Keeping this in view based on a secret input Sapkata police led by i/c, Shiv Prasad Kalita in a raid on Sunday seized 9 high breed cattle heads successfully from the Sapkata area.

The cattle smuggler on receiving information about the raid was trying to hide the cattle in a dense forest at Khoksaguri Gholanitapu adjacent to the Indo-Bhutan border but in vain.

The cattle were then taken to the Sapkata police outpost. However, no one has been arrested so far and the search operation is one to nab the miscreant involved in the smuggling.
