HOJAI, March 15: In a noble initiative, the Hojai Branch of Marwari Yuva Manch installed a drinking water cooler facility under its ‘Amrit Dhara’ project at Gandhi Vidyapith High School (established in 1957) in Hojai on Wednesday. The facility was installed in loving memory of late Shivam Saraf (Guwahati) and was inaugurated by Parmanand Sureka, a noted social worker. The program began with the laying of floral tribute in front of the portrait of late Shivam Saraf.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashish Agarwal, president of MYM, Hojai, said the All India Marwari Yuva Manch is continuously working for the welfare of the people as a whole. He informed that in memory of Shivam Saraf, MYM units in Tezpur, Nazira, Raha, along with Hojai, have installed similar facilities at appropriate locations in their respective areas.
“We are extremely happy and delighted that Marwari Yuva Manch has taken such a significant step which will benefit 210 students of GVPHS,” said Rajib Gupta, a teacher at GVPHS. Niranjan Sarawagi, president of the governing body of GVPHS, and Sunil Bhimsaria, a social worker, also shared their views and praised the philanthropic activities undertaken by AIMYM. The program was anchored by advocate cum journalist Nikhil Kumar Mundra, who also highlighted ‘Amrit Dhara’, an ambitious national project of All India Marwari Yuva Manch.
The program was attended by eminent guests from the Marwari Community, namely Lalit Bora, Manoj Sharma, Pramod More, Mohan More, Praveen Sarawagi, Deepak Chanani, Bikram Sharma, and Abhishek Sureka.
On the other hand, Abhi More, secretary, Sanjay Murarka, Treasurer, and members of Marwari Yuva Manch, including Bikram Bhimsaria, Ashish Sharma, Navin Agarwal, Mayank Kayal, Binay Sarawagi, Amit Bhimsaria, and Alok Gupta, headmaster, teachers – Madhu Garodia, Ajay Singh, Mritunjay Rai, Maya Gupta, etc., along with the non-teaching staff of GVPHS, extended their full support during the program.
