Guwahati’s Saraf family’s education initiative transforms Ratangarh, Rajasthan

GUWAHATI, June 27: On the initiative of the Saraf family of Guwahati, under the supervision of senior advocate and philanthropist Dr Ashok Saraf and advocate Dr Birendra Saraf, Shri Hanumanbux Saraf Bhawan and Shri Shankarlal Saraf Children Park were inaugurated in Ratangarh, Rajasthan recently. On this occasion, Justice Ujjwal Bhuyan of the Supreme Court of India, Justice Soumitra Saikia, and Justice Debashish Barua of Gauhati High Court, advocate general of Maharashtra Dr Birendra Saraf, senior advocate of Guwahati Dr Ashok Saraf, president of the organisation Ghanshyam Chandra Soni, secretary Rajiv Upadhay, and many other eminent personalities were present. On this occasion, dignitaries shared their views and said the Saraf family of Guwahati brought revolution in the field of education in Ratangarh, Rajasthan.

Dr Ashok Saraf said that Shri Hanumanbux Saraf Bhawan is a pre-primary, fully AC school, where children below the age of six can study scientifically with the help of modern equipment. This is the first play school of its kind in the entire district. The children of this school can play in Shri Shankarlal Saraf Children’s Park. All the entertainment facilities are available there as per the needs of the children. On the initiative of Dr Ashok Saraf, who is known as a philanthropist, a total of 71 children were awarded scholarships during the Justice Dr BP Saraf Samman ceremony. In fact, under the encouragement of educational and co-educational talents, 71 talents were honoured by providing scholarship cheques, silver medals, and citation letters in the Justice Dr BP Saraf Pratibha Samman ceremony on behalf of Gandhi Bal Niketan. On this occasion, district collector Pushpa Satyani, sub-divisional officer Amit Verma, Bhamashah Dr Ashok Saraf, secretary Rajiv Upadhay, and institution president Ghanshyam Chandra Soni were present on the stage. The district collector said that in society we should not only know how to take but also how to give. Educated people should take a pledge that they will educate three other people as well. Drawing attention towards environmental protection, he said that we should take a pledge to plant at least 14 trees in our lifetime so that our future is golden. Bhamashah Dr Saraf said that the scholarship scheme was started to inspire other students so that all students can become successful people by working hard. On this occasion, he also announced plans to provide 10 interactive boards for the Sardarshahar block. In the function, 57 talents were honoured with a total cheque of Rs 5.20 lakh in the form of Dr BP Saraf Scholarship, six students were honoured with silver medals and citations under Saraf Shiksha Samman, and seven personnel were honoured with silver medals and citations under Saraf Seva Samman. Organisation secretary Rajiv Upadhyay welcomed the guests by presenting garlands, mementos, and Gandhi literature. The function was conducted by Kuldeep Vyas. Under the program, Deepika Sharma, Rupa Bhojak, Mamta Sharma, Babita Kumawat, Tribhuvan Swami, Ankita Matolia, and Chetan Prajapat were honoured with the service award. Jiya Upadhyay was honoured with the sports award and Raman Saini, Bhumika Agarwal, Tanvi Pareek, Ujjwal Saini, Yashvi Chaudhary, and Nidhi Kanwar were honoured with the education award. Apart from these, by providing scholarships to 71 students, Dr Ashok Saraf has laid the foundation for a revolution in the field of education in the district.
