Businessman attack: Four more apprehended in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR,JUN 6: The Narabari Serfanguri bullet firing on a businessman turns a new connection as more four persons including a female modeller were apprehended on Sunday evening within the 24-hour of the incident.
The toll of apprehended persons have gone to six for involved with the shot at of a trader hailed from Narabari under Serfanguri police station on Saturday evening in Kokrajhar district.
Notably, two motor-cycle born armed miscreants fired at a businessman of Narabari, who was identified as Sunil Mandal on Saturday evening.He was immediately rushed to the Bongaigaon Lower Assam Hospital and now said to be out of critical.
The KLO militant organisation had demanded Rs. 2 lakh from the businessman few days ago as mobile phone voice recording was viral on media.
According to police, stepping strict and thorough investigation into the bullet attack on a businessman, police apprehended two cadres of Kamatapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) militant organisation on Sunday morning.
Based on the revealation of arrested KLO cadres, police arrested more persons including a female modeller from different places of Kokrajhar district on Sunday evening.
The arrested persons were identified as Nabanita Barman Bothra (modeller), her husband Bikash Bothra, Gauri Chandra Roy, Nirmal Das,Uttam Roy and Mridul Roy.
“The police administration have gained and found several inputs from the different sources about the incident and deeply investigation is goingon into the incident.No one involved culprits would be spared at any costs”, said a senior police officer in Kokrajhar.
