Assam: Bullet Attack on two businessmen, demands strict investigation

KOKRAJHAR,JUN 5: Sensational prevailed in Kokrajhar and Chirang districts of Bodoland Territorial Region  due to two businessmen have been sustained serious bullet injuries in the indiscriminately fired by unknown miscreants late last night in two separate places of Kokrajhar and Chirang districts.
Suspected two cadres of Kamatapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) have been apprehended in Kokrajhar for involved with shot at of a businessman at Narabari under Kokrajhar district.
In Kokrajhar, a firing incident took place at Narabari village under Serfanguri police station on Saturday evening at around 8.25 that left a serious bullet injuries.
According to source, two unknown miscreants came on a motor-cycle and fired indiscriminately to a trader that led him to be hospitalized
He was identified as Sunil Mandal(45)
The victim has been immediately rushed to Bongaigain Lower Assam Hospital
The victim was sitting in his grocery shop while unknown armed miscreants fired at him.
Police rushed the spot just after getting information about the incident and started it’s investigation into the incident.
Police so far apprehended suspected two cadres of KLO for involved with bullet attacked on a trader of Narabari under Serfanguri police station in Kokrajhar district.
The arrested were identified as Uttam Roy (24) of Kachugaon and Mridul Roy (26) of Narabari.
“Some unknown persons demanded Rs.2 lakh as ransom few two days ago from suspected KLO militant organisation and shot at late last evening”, victim’s family members said.

In Chirang, a promising businessman at Amteka Bazar under Amguri police station in Chirang district along the India- Bhutan border area was shot at by unknown armed miscreants wee hour of Sunday.
According to source, unknown armed miscreants entered the residential complex of victim wee hour about 12.30 am of Sunday and fired indiscriminately where the businessman recieved serious bullet injuries.
The miscreants reportedly have used AK riffles while attacking the businessman.
The incident took place at around 12.30 am.
The injured businessman was rushed immediately at Bongaigaon Lower Assam Hospital.He was identified as Anil Iswary of Amteka Bazar.
“Both of the shot at businessmen are now out of critical and treatment is going on”, said hospital sources.
BTR CEM Pramod Boro strongly condemned the firing incidents in Kokrajhar and Chirang districts late last night.
He has asked strict steps against the firing incidents and punished the involved culprits.
Sidii MLA Jayanta Basumatary also strongly condemned the firing incident on a trader at Amteka Bazar(Chirang) and Serfanguri(Kokrajhar).
He has demanded a strict investigation into the incident and punished of the involved culprits.
Basumatary has so far contact the SP Chirang and asked for the strict step against the incident.
