Assam: 71.71% Polling Recorded At Koklabari

KOKRAJHAR, June 8: The by-poll to Koklabari constituency in Baksa district passed off peacefully with nearly 71.71% voting till 5 pm on Wednesday.

The fate of four candidates has been sealed in the ballot boxes.

The poll was held in 97 polling stations in a strict security vigil across the constituency.

Notably, four candidates were in fray from different parties including ruling UPPL-BJP-GSP alliance party’s candidate Mantu Boro.

UPPL-BJP-GSP alliance party’s candidate Mantu Boro cast his vote at Koklabari HS School polling station early on Wednesday morning.

He was accompanied by his wife and UPPL leaders.

He also emphasised that he would work dedicatedly towards the all round development of the constituency.
