MORIGAON, June 13: A two-day long inter school chess tournament organised by Morigaon District Chess Association, which commenced from June 11, concluded at Morigaon M.E School on Sunday evening.
In the inter-school tournament, Piyush Pritam Mosrong of Morigaon M.E. School, Praptibarna Thakuria of Sanskriti Vidyapith, Baghara won the tournament.

The tournament was held in boys’ & girls’ category. Piyush Pritam Mosrong and Praptibarna Thakuria won the tournament by receiving 6 points out of 6 games in the tournament. Both the winners will participate in the state selection competition to be held on Jun26 and June 27 next.
Earlier, the inter school chess tournament was inaugurated by the Superintendent of Police Aparna Natarajan on June 11 in presence of the CEO of MZP Khitish Ch. Pegu and distinguished guests.
