GUWAHATI, June 21: On the occasion of International Day of Yoga on Tuesday, Guwahati-based Purabi Dairy organised yoga sessions to motivate everyone to embrace yoga as a part of a healthy lifestyle. Around one hundred participants came together for special yoga sessions at the Purabi Dairy plant located at Panjabari in Guwahati and other centers at Barpeta and Morigaon. Around 15 participants from Kamdhenu DUSS of Barpeta took part in the session while another 25 participants practiced yoga at Kapili DUSS of Morigaon.
West Assam Milk Producers’ Cooperative Union, popularly known by the brand Purabi Dairy, organised yoga sessions to promote a healthy lifestyle. The yoga sessions were followed by the distribution of their products. Notably, Purabi Dairy aimed at creating awareness of the benefits of yoga and milk for a healthy body and mind, through catchy radio campaigns over the last few weeks. Yoga instructor Sachin Kumar Nath guided the sessions and helped the Purabi Dairy employees and associates learn basic exercises.
