National Doctors’ Day is a day celebrated to recognise the contributions of physicians to individual lives and communities. National Doctors’ Day was first observed on July 1, 1991 in honour of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, to pay tribute to his contributions in the health domain.

On the occasion, doctors were felicitated in the presence of Howraghat Member of Autonomous Council (MAC), Ajit Kumar Dey. MAC Dey said that doctors are second to God who cares for the sick and frail.

The occasion was attended by doctors, health workers and BJYM activists.
