DIPHU, July 4: On Monday afternoon around 2 pm, an accident took place in which a man lost his life. The deceased has been identified as Ratan Rongpi (44 years) of Samding Village under Dokmoka police station.

As per the police report, the accident took place near PWD Colony, Lumding road, between a bike (Bajaj platina bike) bearing registration no AS 01 Z-4666 and TATA DI bearing registration no AS 02 CC-1765.

The man was brought to DMC&H, but was declared dead by the doctors. Later, the body was handed over to the family after a post mortem report. The TATA DI driver is currently under police custody.
