The road, located within the Silchar Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC), is undergoing critical repair and reconstruction under the Mukhya Mantrir Paki Path Nirman Achani, an ambitious project aimed at improving road infrastructure across Assam. These repairs are essential for enhancing the safety and durability of this vital link for commuters and heavy vehicles in the region.

SU Barbhuiya, assistant executive engineer of the PWD’s Silchar Territorial Road Sub-Division, expressed regret for the inconvenience caused by the closure. The department assures the public that all necessary measures will be taken to expedite the repair work and minimise traffic disruption.

Commuters and transport operators are advised to plan their routes accordingly and stay updated on further announcements regarding the reopening of the road. The PWD urges the public to cooperate during this period of essential maintenance to ensure the long-term improvement of the road network in the area.
