Later, he died while undergoing treatment at Manubazar under South District of  the state.

According to reports, the deceased, Badal Tripura (38), a resident of Bipinchandra Para, Kaladhe, and another young man, Chiranjit Tripura, were arrested last Sunday in connection with the theft of rubber and brought to the Manubazar police station.

Sources indicate that police personnel from the Manubazar Police Station beat both men on the same night, severely injuring Badal Tripura.

On Monday, Monindra Tripura was called to the police station with an Aadhaar card to bail them out. Accordingly, Monindra Tripura and Jubaraj Tripura arrived at Manubazar Police Station and observed multiple injury marks on Badal Tripura’s body.
