Lui-Ngai-Ni concludes with pomp and gaiety

SENAPATI, Feb 17: The State Level Organizing Committee of Nagas’ seed sowing festival, Lui-Ngai-Ni, extended its “deepest gratitude” to each and every one who made Lui-Ngai-Ni 2025 a “resounding” success.

The committee stated, “Acknowledgement to our esteemed celebrants, especially constituent units of the United Naga Council (UNC) for their participation in the programme, presence and crowning glory of our celebration, and to our honoured invitees, your participation and enthusiasm were invaluable”.

It also expressed gratitude to the protagonist of Lui-Ngai-Ni, Awangbow Newmai, former minister and MLA for gracing the occasion and a commendable speech that enriched the festival.

“We are indebted to our Lui-Ngai-Ni Host, Eno. L. Dikho, former minister and Hon’ble MLA and main celebrant, Eno. Khashim Vashum, former minister and Hon’ble MLA for their gracious presence and unwavering support to ensure the smooth execution of the event”, the committee further expressed. It also acknowledged the presence of the festival “honoured celebrants” Leishiyo Keishing, MLA and J. Kumo Sha, MLA for their unflinching support and solidarity that enhanced the colors and lifted the spirit of Naga seed sowing festival.

Further, the committee also acknowledged and expressed its appreciation and gratitude to the principal celebrant and honoured celebrants of the event Dinganglung Gangmei, IAS (Retd.) Chairman Hill Areas Committee and Ram Muivah, IAS (Retd) and MLA for their invaluable greetings and moral support towards the success of Lui-Ngai-Ni 2025. “Our gratitude and appreciation goes to our honoured celebrants, Eno. Janghemlung Panmei, Hon’ble MLA and Enoli SS. Olish, Hon’ble MLA for their support and solidarity towards the success of this mega event for the Nagas in Manipur”, it added.

The committee also thanked Naga former ministers and MLAs for their gracious presence and encouragement.

It also thanked tribe hohos, political party leaders, social workers, Naga bureaucrats, entrepreneurs, well-wishers, programme partakers, media fraternity and all the participants offline and online “whose cooperation facilitated in the making of Lui-Ngai-Ni 2025 a grand success”.

The committee also gave special thanked to the host, local organizing committee (NPO, SDWA, SDSA and their subordinate Units) for all the logistical arrangement and warm hospitality, making the event a reality. (NNN)
