KOKRAJHAR, April 7 : The Nativers’ Institute of Bodology(NIB) on Sunday organised the glorious 50 years of two iconic Bodo literary works — “Okhrang Gonse Nangou” authored by late Bajendra Kumar Brahma and “Hagra Guduni Mwi” by the late Nilkamal Brahma being held at the Brajendra Kumar Brahma Seminar Hall, Central Institute of Technology (CIT) in Kokrajhar.
As part of the ceremony, floral tributes were offered in honour of the two legendary writers, followed by the felicitation of their family members, recognizing their lasting contributions to the Bodo literature and culture.

A special session to discuss and reflect on the literary value, cultural relevance, and continued impact of “Okhrang Gonse Nangou” and “Hagra Guduni Mwi”, were held which are regarded as foundational works in the canon of modern Bodo literature.
The programme witnessed the presence of eminent dignitaries including Dr Surath Narzary, Bodo Sahitya Sabha president, Assam cabinet minister, Urkhao Gwra Brahma, and Sahitya Akademi awardee writers Dr Anjalee Basumatary, Janil Kumar Brahma, and Prof Indira Boro, among others.
The celebration not only paid homage to the literary pioneers but also reignited interest among the younger generation in the richness of Bodo literary heritage.
Minister Brahma recalled the contributions of prominent writers late Brajendra Kumar Brahma and Nilkamal Brahma who authored the two iconic books -” Okhrang Gonse Nangou and Hagra Guduni Mwi” which contributed a lot towards the uplift and development of the Bodo literary world. He said that the people of the region, especially Bodos has celebrated the glorious 50 years of the books that marked a remembrance of the literary creativity of the prominent writers.
