SIVASAGAR, April 22: Addressing senior citizens and academicians in Sivasagar Girls’ College over a Chintan Boithak recently RSS Asom Prant Prasar Pramukh and former JNU professor Sunil Mahanty said that disruptive and reactionary forces have been trying to destroy Sanatan culture since about tenth century and these are the Evangelical missionaries, radical Islam, radical Marxism and the Western Market Culture.

All these four elements have distorted the whole narrative of defining our country, our culture and our nationhood, he said. Elaborating on the subject, Mohanty said that Bharatiya culture spread to all parts of SouthEast Asia and during his stay in Indonesia, he observed that Ramayan stories were still enacted by the Muslim artists. He said that only after the Mughal and British aggression, the Indian people started fighting amongst themselves over caste, creed and language and before that there was complete harmony among all sections for over 5 thousand years.

The Sanatan Hindus of North India began arranging marriage ceremonies at night and initiated  parda( head scarf/cover) for women only to protect women from Mughal aggressors.  Indians have now kept dogs of foreign breeds to show off status, while a thousand years ago the Egyptians and Babylonians kept Indian dogs.

Expressing happiness over grant of Classical status to Assamese Language, Mohanty said that classical language does not stand in the way of other languages to develop in their own natural way, but the English language , the language of the aggressor, made 40 thousand languages in the world extinct. He said that King Prithu of Kamrup defeated and even destroyed Bakhtiar Khilji’s Muslim army and saved the North East from their clutches.

The British introduced the Inner Line system in the NE Hill areas barring people residing in plain areas from going to such places while keeping it free for the Evangelists that gradually converted almost all of them.
