AAPPHE&WSWU holds 4th Mega General Conference-cum-Election in Itanagar

NAMSAI, May 9: The All Arunachal Pradesh Public Health Engineering and Water Supply Department Workers Union (AAPPHE&WSWU), affiliated with the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), is currently hosting its 4th Mega General Conference-cum-Election at Arunalay Pastoral Centre, Hill Top, Itanagar. The three-day event, which began on May 7, will conclude on May 9.

Delegates from across Arunachal Pradesh have gathered to deliberate on pressing issues such as workers’ rights, departmental reforms, and welfare programs. The conference also marks the formation of the union’s new State Executive Body for the 2025–2028 session.

Newly Elected State Executive Body (2025–2028) comprises President: Shri Tadar Dowa, Vice President (HQ): Mihin Chada, Vice President (Eastern Zone): Takar Tania, Vice President (Western Zone): Tarh Tadey, General Secretary: Tapuk Tok, Assistant General Secretary: Tadar Tamey, Finance Secretary: Linya Bogo, Convenor: Tadar Sinkap, Co-Convenor: Rajendra Singh, Treasurer: Tame Simon Tarh, Games & Sports Secretary: Tarh Chandra, Cultural Secretary: Gebom Angu, Assistant Cultural Secretary: Tadar Peter, Social Service Secretary: Gumku Changriang and RTI Cell Secretary: Riso Peter Tagar

Women Wing Executive Body comprises of President: Taw Anu, Vice President: Techi Yarang, General Secretary: Tadar Yari, Assistant General Secretary: Biri Angu, Spokesperson: Taba Asum and Chief Advisor: Techi Reena Nabam

In addition to strategic discussions, the event includes cultural performances, interactive sessions, and initiatives aimed at strengthening unity and policy direction within the union under the BMS banner — India’s largest trade union.
