Tripura CM explores partnership with Patanjali, joins Scindia, Meghalaya CM in NE Tourism Meet

AGARTALA, June 4: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Wednesday announced a potential collaboration with Patanjali Yogpeeth to promote yoga, wellness, spiritual tourism, biodiversity, education, and more in the state.

Saha further informed that the Tripura government would soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at boosting the state’s socio-economic development.

Taking to Facebook, the Chief Minister wrote, ”Exciting collaborations ahead! Discussed potential partnership with Dr. Acharya Balkrishna, Secretary General, Patanjali Yogpeeth & team… Soon, signing an MoU to boost Tripura’s socio-economic growth.”

In another key development, Saha participated in the 2nd High-Level Task Force meeting on North East Tourism, chaired by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma. The meeting was also attended by Union DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and other dignitaries.

“We deliberated on unlocking the region’s untapped tourism potential and charted strategies for sustainable tourism development across the Northeast,” the CM said.

These initiatives are part of Tripura’s broader vision to position itself as a hub for eco-tourism and holistic wellness in the region.
