Seven Hospitalized In West Karbi Anglong

DONGKAMUKAM: Seven members of a family, including five minors, were hospitalised after they consumed wild mushrooms on Saturday night in West Karbi Anglong. The family, settled at the West Karbi Anglong’s Lummunjen billage, about 10 kms from Jirikindeng police station reportedly gathered the mushrooms from their jhum field and consumed them in their supper. The villagers got wind of the family being in delirium and carried the entire family down to Jirikindeng Hospital in the night itself.

The victims include Borsing Rongphar (38), his wife Wilina Millickpi (32), three sons Jirsong Rongphar (12), Converson Rongphar (6) and Nobin Rongphar 13, his wife’s brothers Ankush Millick (15) and Phumen Millick (10). This morning they were all referred to Kheroni Model Hospital in West Karbi Anglong.
