ITANAGAR, June 24: Longku Komal, the newly crowned Miss Universe Arunachal-2025, was given a grand reception in the state capital on Monday evening, following her victory at the state-level beauty pageant in Tawang.
Hundreds of family members, friends, well-wishers, and members of the Pei Welfare Society gathered to celebrate Komal’s achievement as she prepares to represent Arunachal Pradesh at the Miss Universe India competition in the coming months.

Komal, a 21-year-old from Kamle district, secured the prestigious crown at the second edition of the Miss Universe Arunachal pageant, which was held on Saturday in Tawang.
The competition saw 31 contestants from across Arunachal Pradesh competing for the title.
Komal emerged victorious in a highly competitive field, showcasing her talents, confidence, and poise.
The grand finale, which took place at the Tawang Monastery, was graced by several dignitaries, including chief minister Pema Khandu, Law and Justice Minister Kento Jini, MLA Likha Soni (Chief Patron of Miss Universe Arunachal), and Takam Manju, the Director of Miss Universe Arunachal.
The event was a significant celebration of the state’s cultural diversity, talent, and emerging beauty queens.
Speaking to the media during her reception in Itanagar, Komal expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Arunachal Pradesh for electing her to represent the state.
“I am truly honored and grateful for the opportunity to represent Arunachal Pradesh at the national level,” she said. “I promise to work diligently for the empowerment of youth, and I will focus on youth development at both the state and national levels. My preparations for the national event begin today, and I request the continued love and support of everyone to ensure that I can bring the name and fame of Arunachal Pradesh to the national stage.”
Komal’s victory in the Miss Universe Arunachal-2025 competition not only marks a personal achievement but also signifies the growing recognition of Arunachal Pradesh as a center of talent and beauty in the national arena.
