Gaurav Gogoi’s Karbi Anglong visit preparations underway

DIPHU, July 3: Preparations are in full swing at the Deithor Mondol Congress Committee (MCC) office to welcome Member of Parliament and Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Gaurav Gogoi, who is scheduled to tour Karbi Anglong from July 3 to 5.

The Jorhat MP will arrive at Jorhat Airport on July 3 and proceed to Dergaon by road, followed by a visit to Golaghat where he will stay overnight at the NRL Guest House.

On July 4, Gogoi will reach Deithor MCC at around 11 am, where he will be felicitated by party workers and participate in a party meeting organised by the Deithor MCC.

General secretary Bhimson Rongpi informed that Congress workers are enthusiastic about welcoming the APCC president, with over 1,000 members expected to attend.

A welcome gate has been erected, and hoardings and life-size images of Gogoi have been installed in the MCC campus and along the roads.

Following the Deithor event, Gogoi will attend party meetings and receive felicitations at Chowkihola, Silonijan, Japrajan, Bokajan, and Dillai. He will conclude the day with an overnight stay at Diphu Circuit House.

On July 5, he will address a press conference around 9 am before visiting Padmashree awardees Rongbong Terang and Dhaneswar Engti at their residences.

The MP will also offer prayers at Sitlabari Durga Mandir and Diphu Baptist Church.

Before concluding his three-day tour, he will visit Don Bosco Junior College on Diphu–Manja Road and will be felicitated en route at Longnit, Bakalia, Howraghat Tiniali, Phuloni, Dokmoka, and Parokhuwa.
