GUWAHATI, July 20: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) Cultural Association, Maligaon, reaffirmed its commitment to cultural preservation and creative excellence by successfully concluding its annual Summer Cultural Workshop 2025 with a grand closing ceremony at Rang Bhawan, NFR Headquarters, Maligaon, on July 18.
The event marked the culmination of weeks of intensive training and enthusiastic participation from the railway community, particularly employees and their family members.

According to an official release, the Summer Cultural Workshop was conceived as a platform for promoting the rich folk traditions of Northeast India while also nurturing emerging talent in modern artistic disciplines.
The workshop witnessed wide participation from children, youth and adults from across the railway fraternity, who underwent training in a variety of cultural forms.
The cultural programme held during the closing ceremony showcased a series of captivating performances that reflected both the traditional heritage and contemporary creativity of the participants.
Traditional dances such as Bihu, Bagurumba, and Jhumur were performed with remarkable finesse, drawing applause from the audience.
These were complemented by soulful renditions of folk songs, vibrant modern dances, drama presentations and displays of fine arts—each piece reflecting the depth of talent within the NFR community.
Senior railway officials and dignitaries attended the event and praised the initiative as an important step towards community engagement and cultural continuity.
Officers, staff and their family members filled the Rang Bhawan auditorium, adding warmth and camaraderie to the festive atmosphere.
