NAGAON, July 26: Mera Yuva Bharat, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, commemorated Kargil Vijay Diwas with a solemn and spirited programme at Radiant Academy, Dimaruguri, on the outskirts of Nagaon town on Saturday.
The event was organised in collaboration with Rico Global Education and Research Foundation, a registered institution of the Government of India.

The celebration commenced with a tree plantation ceremony led by Dr Hareswar Saikia, International Secretary General of the International Human Rights Ambassador Organization.
In his inaugural address, Dr Saikia paid heartfelt tributes to the valiant soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces who laid down their lives during the Kargil War.
The programme featured a variety of activities aimed at instilling patriotism and awareness among students and youth.
These included a quiz competition, a tree plantation drive, a patriotic group dance performance, and a special felicitation ceremony.
Kamaleswar Bora, a former Senior Commissioned Officer of the Indian Army, was honoured on the occasion for his service to the nation.
During a discussion session held as part of the event, Niva Kumari Borah, Principal of Radiant Academy, spoke on the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and underscored the importance of remembering the courage and sacrifices of India’s soldiers.
Over a hundred students and young participants attended the programme, which concluded with a moving patriotic dance performance that resonated deeply with the audience.
