KOKRAJHAR, Sept 7: A special literary and cultural programme was organised at Gossaigaon Brahma Mandir on Sunday in Kokrajhar district.
The event was organised by the Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma Trust (GKBT) in collaboration with Hainamuli and Gossaigaon B.Ed. College.

The highlight of the event was the release of a translated edition of Gothosa Bisombi, a children’s literature book authored by Dr Ajit Boro, which had won the prestigious Bal Sahitya Puraskar in 2020. The book was released by Chahendra Nath Basumatary, secretary of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha.
Khampa Basumatary, vice president of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha, attended the event as the special guest.
A ceremonial coconut tree plantation was carried out by Anu Rani Basumatary, retired headmistress of Gossaigaon Girls’ High School, marking the occasion.
Among the distinguished attendees were Phatendra Basumatary, vice president of the All Brahma Dharma Committee; Jagat Chandra Brahma, secretary of the All Brahma Dharma Committee; and Khanin Das, president of the Assam Sahitya Sabha, Gossaigaon Branch.
The programme also featured the felicitation of Biswanath Narzary for his remarkable contribution to translation work, adding a special dimension to the literary gathering.
